Music Schools in Europe<\/a><\/em><\/h4>\n

On the occasion of the General Assembly of the European Music School Union (EMU) which was held from 6th to 10th October 1999 in Weimar, the 1999. Cultural Capital of Europe, the following declaration was unanimously adopted by the representatives of the National Music School Associations. <\/p>\n

The European Music School Union addresses the following declaration to the Committee on Culture, Youth, Education, Media and Sport of the European Parliament and to the Council of Europe, urging its members to do all in their power to actively support the promotion of music schools in Europe, in the spirit of the EMU\u2019s Weimar Declaration. <\/p>\n

It is our expectation that those agencies and persons responsible for music schools at European, national and local level will come to see the Weimar Declaration as a guide for the elaboration of a policy with respect to music schools which contributes to the building of a culturally active…<\/p>\n

Na generalnoj skup\u0161tini Evropske unije muzi\u010dkih \u0161kola (EMU) odr\u017eanoj u Vajmaru od 6. do 10. oktobra 1999, kulturnoj prestonici Evrope tu godinu, jednoglasnom odlukom svih predstavnika nacionalnih asocijacija muzi\u010dkih \u0161kola (me\u0111u njima i Srbije, prim. ZMB\u0160S  <\/i><\/a>), the so-called. Weimar declaration. EMU addressed the declaration to the committee on Culture, Youth, Education, media and sport of the Assembly of Europe, as well as to the Council of Europe, asking the members of these institutions to do everything in their power to actively support the promotion of music schools in Europe, in the spirit of the Weimar declaration adopted by EMU. We expect the institutions and individuals responsible for music schools in Europe and at national and local levels to implement the Weimar declaration as a guideline for the implementation of policies of importance for music schools as active participants in cultural life. <\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
